A finely modeled antique German porcelain figural sculpture depicting a winged putto in a Bacchic harvest scene, attributed to Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur of Thuringia, Germany. Executed in a luminous blanc de chine-style glaze, the figure is shown carrying an overflowing basket of grapes upon his shoulder while standing beside a woven basket at his feet. Additional grape clusters and rustic naturalistic elements decorate the oval plinth base, which is finished with molded neoclassical ornamentation around the border.
The figure embodies the Rococo revival aesthetic popular in late 19th-century German porcelain production, with expressive movement, soft anatomical modeling, and pastoral symbolism associated with abundance, wine harvests, and classical mythology. The underside bears a blue underglaze mark believed to correspond to Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur.
Unlike many porcelain forms incorporating functional vessels, this example appears intended primarily as a decorative sculptural composition rather than a utilitarian spill vase or container.
