Gold Mini Floral Arch Salvage Piece
French or possibly Austrian gilt-bronze furniture or decorative mount (Applique)
Mid-late 19th C (circa 1850-1890) during Second Empire or Early Belle Epoque
Possibly mercury gilded or fire gilded
Arched floral garland with a central rose bloom flanked by smaller blossoms and scrolls, terminating in round rosettes
Single peg at the back suggests it was mounted through wood, likely on a fine veneered surface
Naturalistic rose and scroll-ended rosettes suggest a Louis XVI Revival influence
