An elegant 19th-century French clear glass vase with finely cast gilt-metal mounts in the Louis XVI taste.
The vase is formed with a tall amphora-like body, flared neck, and spreading circular foot. Its clear glass body is embellished around the shoulder with a richly detailed gilt bronze or ormolu-style mount composed of scrolling foliage, ribbon-like swags, floral rosettes, and suspended tassel forms.
