The book retains its original half-leather binding with marbled paper boards, featuring a dark green leather spine with gilt horizontal rules, gilt titling (“Mme. de Staël / Corinne”), and volume number “5.” The interior contains beautiful period marbled endpapers in a classic stone pattern with red, blue, and gray veining.
Ink ownership stamp "Dr. E. E. Charbin" - likely 19th c French collector or scholar
Printed in a small portable format typical of French literary editions of the Restoration period, the paper shows natural toning consistent with age.
