This example is bound in richly grained black leather, featuring a deeply impressed central panel with a prominent Gothic-style cross framed by architectural tracery—an austere yet powerful ecclesiastical design.
The spine is elegantly gilt with compartmentalized ornament and the title Paroissien de Beauvais, while the text block retains bright, shimmering gilt edges, further elevated by the presence of its original decorative metal clasp.
